New Delhi: Twitter India suspends several official twitter accounts owned by the Pakistan embassy in UN, Turkey, Iran and Egypt. Earlier, the twitter account of the National Public Broadcaster, Radio Pakistan, was also banned in India. The Indian twitter account holders can now see a ‘withheld’ notification while checking Pakistan’s twitter accounts in UN, Turkey, Iran and Iraq.

At the same time Pakistan has come up with their responses in the ban of their official accounts. Pak foreign
embassy has demanded twitter to restore their accounts immediately.

Earlier, India has banned 16 YouTube channels, among them six owned by Pakistan, in the background of fake and hate spreading stories about India. These were channels that spread false information about India’s national security and foreign relations. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting had said that the ban on such channels would continue as it was trying to create panic among the people and disrupt
communal harmony.
