New Delhi: The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has directed the National Investigation Agency to take over the Udaipur murder case. Union Home Minister Amit Shah tweeted that “MHA has directed the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to take over the investigation of the brutal murder of Shri Kanhaiya Lal Teli committed at Udaipur, Rajasthan yesterday. The involvement of any organisation and international links will be thoroughly investigated,”
Amit Shah had held an emergency meeting with Home Secretary and directed to visit the place and to evaluate the situations, to get the details of the murderers’ international terror links.
The investigators believe that the murderers have connection with Pak extremist group Dawat-e-Islami. This terror group has close link with Pak terror group Tehrik-e-Labbaik.
The two criminals were arrested while on their way to shoot another video near a shrine after the heinous crime. They were arrested by Rajastan Police at Rajsamand. The two Islamists brutally beheaded Kanhaiya Lal, a 47 old tailor on Tuesday afternoon and captured the butchery on their phone and circulated the grisly video on social media.
The accused even issued threat to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
