Thiruvananthapuram: State expected to receive heavy rainfall today. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) informed chances for isolated heavy rain in all districts in the next 3 hours and wind at a speed of 40 – 50 Kms per hour.
All districts except Thiruvananthapuram have received alerts today. Northern districts may receive the strongest rainfall.
Orange alert have been issued to 6 districts including Idukki, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikkod, Kannur and Kasaragod
From 2 pm to 10 pm Thiruvananthapuram has a high chance for thunderstorms.
As they expect strong and high waves, the coastal residents must be cautious and the fishermen are warned to stop venturing to the sea.
