New Delhi: Officials said that the Amarnath pilgrimage has temporarily suspended due to heavy rain and bad weather. The pilgrims were not allowed to visit Amarnath for the last 2 years due to the pandemic.
Last month the pilgrimage reopened again.
The accommodations of the pilgrims are arranged at Nuang Base Camp in Pahalgam. Pilgrims have also been accommodated at Baltal camp in Ganderbal district. This year’s Amarnath pilgrimage began on June 30.
The first batch of pilgrims reached Pahalgam Base Camp last Thursday. So far, 72,000 devotees visited Amarnath temple this year. The devotees are allowed here till 11th of August this year.
