Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition leader VD Satheeshan strongly criticised Minister Saji Cheriyan on his anti constitutional comment.
Saji Cheriyan insulted both the constitution and its makers. It is a cruel act that he chooses constitution to deviate the issue and insulted the makers of the constitution, said V.D.Satheeshan
What he did was a clear breach of oath. The leader of the opposition demanded that the minister has no right to remain in power even for a single day and he should resign immediately.
The opposition will raise this issue in the assembly and will take legal action if the minister does not resign, added VD Satheeshan.
Saji Cheriyan commented that the Indian constitution has enough loopholes to do corruption and other such manipulations.
He was attending a meeting conducted by the CPM at Mallappally in Pathanamthitta.
He also commented that the Constitution grants permission to exploit workers. It does not provide protection either. What the British had told them was written down as it was.
