Jammu, July 6 (UNI) A day after drone movement was suspected along the international border, a joint team of security forces on Wednesday morning launched a search operation in the bordering villages of Samba district.
Police said that a joint team of Special Operation Group of J&K Police, CRPF and BSF this morning carried out search operation in SM Pura, Chamliyal and adjoining border villages.
“A suspected drone activity was spotted on Tuesday close to the border following which a search operation was launched,” police said, adding that the border dwellers have also been made aware of the drone, its movement, sound and the size.
“The villagers have been told to immediately inform the nearby picket or police post if they observe any suspicious movement either aerial or along the border,” they said.
Multi-layer security has been put in place in Jammu and Kashmir in view of ongoing Shri Amarnath Yatra.
