New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a conclave tomorrow that supports organic farming. The PM Office has informed that Modi will attend the meeting arranged at Surat through an online platform.

Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Bhupendra Rajnikant Patel will also attend the conclave. It is reported that around thousand farmers will attend the conclave.

It provides opportunities for Farmers groups, people’s representatives, cooperatives, agriculture products marketing committees (APMC) to move towards organic farming. For this purpose, 75 farmers were selected and trained through Gram Panchayats and 4100 people were trained in 90 clusters across the district.

During last March, PM had organised a Mega Panchayath Meeting on behalf of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav. He also advised that at least 75 farmers from each village should turn to the field of organic farming.
