New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has informed that on the 75th anniversary of the Indian Independence, a collective effort is going to determine the nation’s development. He was addressing the National Farmers Conclave at Surat in Gujarat.
Speaking on the basis of the natural farming model, the PM said that India is culturally an agricultural country. The life of the people is based on an agricultural system and the Surat model will spread across the country.
The PM attended the function through video conference. He opined that the agriculture sector improves if the farmers of the nation improve. Digital India actually eases the transformation. Necessary facilities are being provided to the farmers through Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY). More than 30,000 clusters have been formed under the scheme. A conclave was conducted a few months ago in order to encourage natural farming and farmers from different areas participated in that meeting. It was also stated that the objective of the conclave is to boost the agricultural sector of the country by organizing such conclaves continuously in Surat.
