New Delhi: The Madhya Pradesh police has filed a case against Medha Patkar, the social activist and founder of ‘Narmada Bachao’ . More than 13 crore rupees, collected for the education of tribal children, was misused, says reports. Case has been filed against eleven others too.
The complaint alleges that the fund collected by the Narmada Navnirman Abhiyan Trust was used for anti national activities. FIR was registered under section 420 of the Indian Penal Code.
The complainant Pritam Raj Badole alleged that Medha Patkar cheated people by impersonating herself as a social worker.
Medha Patkar is the trustee of Narmada Navnirman Abhiyan Trust. She told that she has not received any official notice from the police.
