Mumbai: The heavy rain and landslide have stolen a life and 2 people were seriously injured. The district collector has informed that 2 people were saved and the rescue operations are going on.
Since a day the state has been receiving heavy rain in different regions. Rescue operations including the National Disaster Response Force are being carried out in the area where the landslide occurred
Meanwhile, due to the high chance of heavy rain, the meteorological department has issued a red alert in different regions of Palghar district till July 14th.
Strong winds are likely to occur along with the heavy rain. The wind speed is expected to reach 45-55 km/hr. In this background, fishermen are advised to stop venturing into the sea.
If the rain continues, the water level in all rivers is likely to rise rapidly. Currently, the government has issued a warning to those living in the coastal areas.
