Mumbai: A 16 months old child has died after falling in a vessel that was filled with boiling water.
The incident took place outside the toddler’s home in Palod district on July 6th.
The child and his family were attending a wedding reception party. On the occasion of the feast, a large vessel was kept there with boiling water and the toddler somehow reached near the vessel and fell into it.
The family noticed him when he screamed. They took him out of the vessel and rushed to the nearby private hospital.
He had later been shifted to the Ghati Government Hospital, where he succumbed to death on Thursday, after 1 week of the incident.
The unexpected and shocking incident made the entire village into a pool of grief.
A police official has said that they have registered an accidental death case on the incident and started further investigation.
