Kochi: The Crime Branch will submit a further investigation report on the actor assault case in the trial court today. Sarath, friend of actor Dilip, has been involved with more charges in the further investigation.
The charge sheet will be submitted in the Angamaly magistrate court. With this, the number of accused in the case will become 9.
It added above 90 new witnesses in the 1500 pages of charge sheet that added more charges on Dilip in the further investigation.
The trial court had directed the prosecution to submit the further investigation by today evening. It also informed the necessity to restart the procedure immediately.
The court will consider the case at 3 pm today.
Last day, the crime branch had informed the trial court that they have added new charges on Dilip, the eighth accused, for hiding and destroying the evidence.
The defendant has not yet withdrawn the petition demanding the footage of the attack, that is with the the investigating officer Baiju Paulose, and it should be produced in the court.
