New York: India’s pride athlete Neeraj Chopra has entered the final round of the World Athletics Championship. He boosted the hopes in the trial round itself with his javelin throw that covered 88.39 meter distance.
The trial round competition began at 5 am today.
He had broke his own world record by covering 89.94 meter at the Stockholm Diamond League. On the basis of his performance, he is now in the third position. Anderson Peters of Granada who cleared a distance of 93.07 meters and Yakub Walde of the Czech Republic who cleared a distance of 90.88 meters are in the 1st and 2nd positions.
Accident occurred to the German athlete Yohanus Vetter, who usually crosses 90 meters, increases the chances of Neeraj’s victory.
