Thiruvananthapuram: A UAE returnee, from Malappuram district, tested positive, said the health minister Veena George . This being the third case of monkeypox in the country as well as the state.
The patient reached Kerala on 6 July. The 35 year old man was undergoing treatment as he started fever on 13 July. He has been admitted at Manjeri Medical College Hospital.
The people who had been in close contact with the patient are being monitored closely, added Veena George.
