Thiruvananthapuram: CPM will celebrate nation’s 75th Independence day, said Kodiyeri Balakrishnan. CPM will conduct several programmes as part of the nation wide celebration from 1 August to 15 August. The national flag will be hoisted in all party offices, added CPM state secretary.

While speaking to reporters in the state capital, Kodiyeri Balakrishnan told that the party is planning to honor the freedom fighters and the final decision will be taken after conducting discussions with CPI.

Kodiyeri raised harsh criticism on ED’s notice against former minister Thomas Isaac. Enforcement Directorate is moving with political intentions. Central government provides over freedom to the national agencies, said Kodiyeri Balakrishnan.

And on KIIFB, Kodiyeri criticised the central government saying that the central government targets developmental steps of Kerala, and CPM will hold mass protests against this.

CPM state secretary has also made their stand on the issue of IndiGo company’s travel ban to E P Jayarajan.  He said the company’s attitude is unfortunate.
