Thiruvananthapuram: The court will consider the public interest litigation that was filed against the minister Antony Raju today. The public worker George Vattakkulam has approached the high court with the complaint.
The complaint seeks to find a proper solution for the prolonged procedures and to conduct investigation against the trial court.
A Foreigner who hid gold in his undergarment was captured from Thiruvananthapuram airport on 1990 April. The case was that Antony Raju, who was then the Bar Council advocate, had tampered the evidence to save the foreigner from the case.
It was found that the evidence was manipulated by advocate Antony Raju and Jose, the clerk of Thiruvananthapuram court. The allegation was that the former altered the size of the undergarment with the help of the clerk.
Though the indictment had been submitted sixteen years ago, the trial has not yet started and the case has been postponed 22 times.
