New Delhi: Union Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan said that Nemom railway terminal project will not be dropped. The work will be starting soon and the Union Railway Minister Aswini Vaishnav has assured that the official intimation regarding the project will be released, added V Muraleedharan here in New Delhi today. The Union Minister also said that some reports, mentioning as the project is abandoned, are baseless.
The Central Government is thinking over the alternative for K Rail. The DPR made by the Kerala Government on silver line project is unsystematic and prone to environmental damage. V Muraleedharan also added that he had already asked about an alternative project to provide high speed rail facility to Kerala, to the Union Railway Minister.
Though K Rail is unsystematic, the rail development in Kerala will not be hindered. Railway has conducted several studies regarding this. A detailed meeting with Kerala MPs will be held for further discussion, added Union Minister.
