New Delhi: Battlegrounds of Mobile India (BGMI), the Indian version of PUBG, has been banned temporarily in India. Krafton informed that the game has been removed from the app store and play store. The strict decision was taken by the centre.
A boy had killed his mother for not allowing him to play the game and an NGO agency called Prahar filed a case on this. On that petition they sated that Battlegrounds Mobile India is PUBG itself, that had been banned earlier in India. Following this complaint the centre has decided to remove the game.
PUBG had started its attempt to return India in September 2020 citing personal safety. For this, they published the new version of PUBG that they have developed exclusively for India.
