New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a high level meeting to discuss on security ahead of Independence Day. As per the report, some terrorist organisations have plots to attack the country on the occasion of Independence Day celebrations.
The alert has been issued on the basis of the possible attacks. Security arrangements will be tightened in the border regions and in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and kolkata. The authorities are instructed to conduct thorough inspections in metros, railway stations, airports, markets as well as in prominent worshipping places.
Home Secretary, NIA Director Dinkar Gupta, Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora and other top officials attended the meeting.
