Palakkad: As heavy downpour continues in several parts of the state, the authorities have declared holiday for educational institutions tomorrow. The declared holiday is for five districts, Kottayam, Idukki, Alappuzha, Palakkad and Thrissur.
Holiday has been announced by the district collectors. In all five districts, holiday is declared for all educational institutions including anganwadis and professional colleges. However, pre scheduled examinations and interviews remain unchanged. In Thrissur district, holiday will not be applicable for residential schools, said the collector.
The Mahatma Gandhi University has postponed all exams that were scheduled for tomorrow. New dates will be announced soon, said the Controller of Examinations.
