New Delhi: India’s maiden Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV) has been successfully launched with two satellites today at 9: 18 am.
The rocket was launched from Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota. All three phases of the launch have been successfully completed by SSLV. This is a milestone in the history of ISRO.
SSLV also carried Earth Observation Satellite (EOS-02) and AzaadiSAT to space. It placed EOS-02 at the orbit within 9 minutes after the launch. Two minutes later, the mission was accomplished by successfully placing the AzaadiSAT on orbit.
AzaadiSAT, the co-passenger satellite was designed by the girl students from Government Schools across the nation on behalf of the 75th anniversary of the Indian Independence.
