Birmingham: India’s gold medal tally rose to 13 in Commonwealth Games. Bhavina Patel achieved gold in Table Tennis. She defeated Ifechukwude Christiana Ikoyi of Nigeria.
She won silver in Tokyo Paralympics earlier. Bhavina was ranked second in the world after achieving silver medal in PTT Thailand open in 2011. She won silver medal in women’s singles class 4 at the Asian Para Table Tennis Championship in Beijing in 2014. She also won bronze at the Asian Para Table Tennis Championship in 2017.
Currently, Indian athletes move forward with great achievements in Commonwealth Games. India achieved a total of 13 gold, 11 silver and 16 bronze until now.
