Birmingham: India’s Neetu Khankhas achieved gold in boxing n Commonwealth Games. She won in minimum weight category final. She defeated England’s Demie-Jade Resztan. Neetu won India’s first gold medal in boxing at this year’s Commonwealth Games by defeating opponent 5-0 in the 48 kg category.
Neetu defeated Ireland’s Nicola in the quarter-finals and defeated Canada’s Priyanka Dhillon in the semi-finals. She is a native of Bhawani District, Haryana. Her response before the match was that she will try to implement whatever the coaches tell her in the ring.
She started her career in boxing from 2012. This medal will bring a big change in life, says Neetu.
