Thiruvananthapuram: Police have strengthened the probe into the case in connection with the murder of woman at Kesavadasapuram. Police informed that the accused is identified as Adam Ali, 21 years old, a native of Bengal. The authorities have interrogated some of the construction workers who were staying with the accused.
Manorama, 68 year old lady was found dead in a well near her house. Some laborers have been involved in the construction work just near Manorama’s home. They used to come her house for taking drinking water. The accused has exploited this facility to attack the woman, informed police. The killer reached her house and attacked her last afternoon. 50,000 rupees and Manorama’s ornaments were stolen.
The neighbours, hearing loud noise, checked the area but could not find anything and thus, called police. The woman’s leg was tied to heavy brick and she was strangled with the saree that she worn.
Adam, the accused told the laborers that he had a clash with the neighbouring woman and then he escaped.
However police have taken five people under custody and search for the accused Adam is underway.
