Child death again in Attappadi, New-born died two hours after birth

Palakkad: Child death again reported in Attappadi. Sajitha-Shaji couple’s baby girl died two hours just after birth. This is the sixth new-born death in Attappadi this year.

The baby was born at 10 pm last day. The delivery took place at Thrissur Medical College. But the child died within hours. It is  informed that that the child weighed only 700gm. It remains to be clarified whether this is the cause of death.

Last year, due to many child deaths the Health Minister visited Attappadi and collected information. Although they promised to take action, such miseries are still continuing.
