Aluva: A patient, admitted in district hospital with monkeypox symptoms, has escaped.
The 30 year old man was diagnosed with monkeypox symptoms when he was brought to Kochi after being expelled from UAE in connection with a case.
The test, conducted at the Alappuzha Virology Lab, confirmed the disease and he escaped from the hospital while undergoing the treatment.
The Police started an investigation on the case.
Meanwhile, a seven-year-old girl in Kannur was admitted for observation due to monkeypox symptoms. The child has been admitted to Kannur Pariyaram Medical College. Her parents, who arrived from the UK, are also under observation and their saliva was sent for testing.
