NewDelhi: The central government has strictly instructed the Airline companies to share the information of the international passengers. The information including contact, payment information should be shared. The new move is to prevent offenders from leaving the country.
The notification was issued by the Central Indirect Tax Department. The information should be exchanged before 24 hours of travel. The details of travelers from abroad to India and from India to abroad should be transferred in this way.
Passenger’s name, date of ticket purchase, travel plan, email id, mobile number, travel agency and baggage information should be provided. Things including smuggling can be reduced in this way.
