New Delhi: The Supreme Court has today ordered to club all cases registered in various states against former BJP Spokesperson Nupur Sharma and to transfer those cases to Delhi. The court’s decision has made a big relief to Nupur Sharma as she had requested the top court to transfer all cases to Delhi.
FIRs have been lodged against Nupur Sharma in the states of Maharashtra, Telangana, West Bengal, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Assam and Jammu Kashmir. Nupur’s plea indicated that moving to several places in connection with the cases will be a threat to her security. The court, in turn, produced a verdict to club and transfer all cases to the national capital. Meanwhile, Nupur Sharma’s plea was opposed by the Bengal government.
The plea was taken in the court at 3.30 pm. The special bench of Justices Suryakant and J B Pardiwala also informed that the protection granted to Nupur Sharma from arrest will continue until the enquiry is completed.
