New Delhi: Jagdeep Dhankhar will be sworn in as the nation’s 14th Vice President today. The swearing ceremony is arranged in the Rashtrapathi Bhavan at 12:30 pm.
India’s honourable President, Draupadi Murmu, will administer the oath to Jagdeep Dhankhar.
The tenure of the former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu ended last day and this led Dhankhar to take up the position today. Many dignitaries are expected to attend the function.
Jagdeep Dhankhar had secured 528 votes in the Vice President election while the joint opposition candidate Margaret Alva received 182 votes.
