New Delhi: Central Government reappointed Shah Faisal, who resigned from the Indian Administrative Service, to the post of Deputy Secretary in the Central Tourism Department. The statement was published in an order that has been issued by the Personal and Training Department.
After resigning from the post, he formed the Jammu Kashmir Peoples’ Movement Party and conducted several protests when the central government revoked the special status of the state. He was also arrested under the security act. Later, after returning from the jail, Shah expressed his interest to re-join in the Government service.
Even though he resigned from the service, the government did not accept his resignation officially. Shah was the IAS topper in the former 2010 batch of the Jammu Kashmir cadre. He resigned and joined the political party during 2019. He tweeted that what he did
