Thiruvananthapuram: Former minister K T Jaleel has finally withdrawn the anti-national Facebook post which lead to a huge controversy. The comments in the post were misunderstood and misinterpreted, Jaleel said. The post is being withdrawn for the good of the country, he informed.
Jaleel, who reached Amritsar to attand a meeting held by the Malayali organisations, also went Kashmir. MLA’s anti-national remarks came out while he was explaining the experiences of his visit to Kashmir. K T Jaleel mentioned Kashmir as ‘India occupied Kashmir’ and used the term ‘Azad Kashmir’, just as Pak spokespersons say.
The statements like India occupied Kashmir and Azad Kashmir have to be taken seriously. The phrase ‘Azad Kashmir’ in the post created a stir. Then many political organizations and leaders came forward against Jaleel. The complaint points out that Jaleel, in his Facebook post, wrote fake statement as during the time of India-Pak partition, Kashmir was divided into two. Jalil was not ready to withdraw the post. Then the MLA withdrew the post stating that the remark had led to misunderstanding.
