Wayanad: During the occasion of the 76th Independence day celebrations, The tribes in Wayanad have raised the pride of the country by hoisting one of the largest national flags. The celebration took place at Kozhuvana village in Wayanad. The flag was raised together by an 85 year old Koima and a 98 years old kolumbi.
The flag with 3 metre length and 2 metre width was raised in a pole of 13 metre height. It was made by a person called James Raj. The flag was hoisted on 13 August at morning 8:45, in the presence of around thousand people. This has turned into a great acceptance to the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, announced by the PM Narendra Modi.
