New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the nation on the 76th Independence Day, has told that India is the mother of democracy. PM wished all citizens and told its the time to move towards new directions and began his speech, recalling the courageousness of each and every one who had contributed in the freedom struggle.
Narendra Modi paid special tributes for women participated in the freedom struggle. He mentioned the leaders beginning from Mahatma Gandhi and stressed the importance of former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, Savarkar, Sree Narayana Guru,Vivekananda Swami, Subhash Chandra Bose and B R Ambedkar.He also paid tributes to those tribes who fought for freedom.
Everyone is working towards empowering every Indian citizen at every nook and corner of the country. Narendra Modi mentioned about ‘panch pran’ the people of India should focus in the coming 25 years so as to fulfil the dreams of the freedom fighters by the year 2047.
PM called on the people of India to take panch pran for development of the nation. Among ‘panch pran’ (five pledges), the first one is to move forward with bigger resolves and resolve for a developed India. The second pledge is to erase all traces of servitude. The third is to be proud of our legacy. The fourth pledge should be the strength of unity and fifth pran among the panch pran, is the duties of citizens that include the Prime Minister and the Chief Ministers also.
