NewDelhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid floral tributes to former PM of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his death anniversary. President Draupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP National President J P Nadda, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and many other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
Atal Ji, who lived an idealistic and simple life, was a brave man who presented Indian philosophy to the world. He helped India to gain the top position in development. Atal ji was India’s most powerful Prime Minister who made powerful decisions during the Kargil War, said PM.
Atalji, who witnessed many crises and faced them without any failure, was one of the best Prime Minister of all time. He was elected as Prime Minister for two terms in 1996 and 1999. He was a freedom fighter, poet, orator, and a great leader who won the favor of even his opponents. He was honored with the nation’s highest civilian honor on his birthday in 2015. He passed away on 16 August 2018.
