Dubai: Dubai International Airport comes back to normal after two days of bad weather including sandstorms. 44 flights were cancelled and 12 were diverted due to heavy sandstorm. Authorities have urged those traveling from the UAE this week to watch for possible changes due to bad weather.
Even though, the sand and dust covered the city and reduced visibility of 500 meters in some areas, it doesn’t affected the operations of Dubai International Airport. Many flights from Dubai have been delayed for the past two days due to weather changes in the region. Dubai International Airport operations are currently normal, airport officials said.
44 flights were cancelled between Sunday afternoon and Monday morning. All passengers are requested to contact their airlines for the latest information on the status of their flights. The National Meteorological Center issued a warning on Monday morning of severe weather around Abu Dhabi International, Al Bateen and Al Maktoum International Airports.
