New Delhi: The Central Government again banned YouTube channels that spread fake and anti national information on the internet. Government banned eight channels including one Pak Channel over spreading false details regarding the foreign alliances and bilateral relations of the nation, clarified the union ministry of information and broadcasting.
The channels are banned according to the IT act 2021. The Central government officials said that the banned channels had more than 114 crore followers and 85 lakh of subscribers.
The Government had closed 38 YouTube channels in April and 35 in January, last year. The Union minister Anurag Thakur said that strict actions will be continued against such channels that spread fake and anti national information.
