Thiruvananthapuram: Rains are intensifying in the state. The Indian Meteorological Department has warned of the possibility of heavy rain, strong thunder and lightning in the state from tomorrow.
Rain warnings have been issued in various districts. Yellow alerts were issued in districts like Idukki and Kottayam on Monday and Kottayam, Idukki and Ernakulam districts on Tuesday. These places may receive 64.5 to 115.5 milliliters of rain in 24 hours. Due to the possibility of strong winds, special caution is advised to fishermen in Kerala-Lakshadweep and Karnataka coasts.
Meanwhile, Idukki, Kottayam and Ernakulam districts received heavy rain last time. There were floods in many places.
