Darwin: The Army is preparing for a joint military exercise with the Royal Australian Air Force. A team of the Indian Air Force arrived in Darwin to begin the military exercise. This year’s Army Exercise Pitch Black will be held from 9th August to 8th September.
The information is that about 100 aircraft and 2,500 soldiers from various forces will participate in the exercise. Four Su-30 MKI fighter jets and two E17 jets were deployed for the training. The aim is to make them experts in undertaking multi-domain air combat missions.
It is a biennial exercise conducted by various countries under the leadership of the Royal Australian Air Force on the topic of ‘Large Force Employment Warfare’. The last exercise was held in 2018.
