London: Indian women cricket pace bowler Jhulan Goswami to resign from international cricket. She announced that she will resign after the upcoming series with England. She has been retiring from the Indian cricket at the age of 39.
Jhulan, a native of Nadiya in West Bengal, is known by her name ‘Babool’. She had already represented India in 12 test tournaments, 201 one day matches and 68 T-20s. She has gained 44 wickets so far with a record score of 25-5. In one day matches, she scored a total of 252 wickets with a highest score of 31-6. And in T-20, she scored 56 wickets with an appealing performance of 11-5.
She is the second player who has performed for a long time in the International Test Cricket matches. She is also the first youngest player who took all 10 wickets in a test match. She has a record of completing the highest number of balls in the one day women cricket match.
