Guwahati: Three terrorists, who planned to conduct attack, were caught in Assam. The terrorists were members of the Ansarullah Bangla team, an associated group of Al-Quada. A message had been circulated that says terrorists activities are being conducted in background of the Madrasas. The terrorist were captured in a detailed investigation that held after this.
Abdul Subhan (43), Jalaluddin Sheikh (49), his son in law were taken in custody. Abdul Subhan was the Imam of Tingunia Santhipur Masjid and Jalaluddin Sheikh was the Imam of Thilappara Nathun Masjid.
An investigation is being held by the police over the incident.
They gave shocking information while interrogated by the police. They said that they have arranged a religious meeting at Sundarour Thilappara Madrasa, near Mattia Police Station during 2019. The chief guests of the programme were Bangladeshi citizens, who have connections with terrorist organisations. They facilitate accommodation to the illegal migrants from Bangladesh. They also clarified that they are the sleeper cells.
Many documents including the Jihadi literatures, Posters, Books, Mobile phones, Sim cards, Id cards were found from their homes. The Ansarulla Islam is a known terrorist organization in Bengal that is popularly known as Ansar Bangla.
