Thiruvananthapuram: KSRTC K-Swift bus which was going from Kozhikode to Thiruvananthapuram collided with a car near Angamaly. No casualty was reported.
The K Swift service had an accident on the very day it was launched. The buses met with accidents three times on the first day itself. Although there is no loss of life in the accidents, each time the accidents cause a loss of ten thousands of rupees.
Later, KSRTC MD Biju Prabhakar lodged a complaint with the DGP pointing out that there is a mystery in the K Swift’s frequent accidents. He alleged that someone is intentionally causing the accidents and trying to destroy K Swift.
KSRTC has set up a new company K SWIFT for long distance services. It started with 116 buses bought with 100 crores allocated by the government.
