Thiruvananthapuram: A ten day long special cabinet meet will start today as decided on 10 August, after the Governor refused to give consent to 11 ordinances, which subsequently expired on 8 August.
The government’s plan is to introduce those lapsed ordinances as bills in the assembly.
Today, as the first day to convene the sixth Legislative Assembly session, a special discussion will be held in connection with the 76 years of Independence. No other proceedings will be there today. After the meeting, the time schedule for the coming days’ functioning will be charted.
