Thiruvananthapuram: SFI workers have locked the Karyavattom campus principal inside his office room. They also attacked the police who had reached the location. The attack took place against the decision of the principal to exclude the SFI leader from the allotment, who had been expelled from the college as part of the disciplinary actions last year.
It is the former SFI unit leader Rohith Raj who had tried for the re-entry into the campus. When the principal opposed this, he had locked inside his room. The SFI workers and the police have encountered at the entrance gate too. The SFI also tried to attack the policemen jointly.
Police have arrested Amit, the secretary, SFI area committee Kazhakkoottam, joint secretary Shaiju, and president Rahul. Later, the principal was taken out in the police vehicle itself.
