Pathanamthitta: Sooraj , an 18 year old, native of Karamana, Thiruvananthapuram, was arrested for sexually assaulting a 16 year old girl. He abducted the girl by giving a promise of marriage.
On Friday afternoon, he called her from her house in Pathanamthitta and brought to his house in Thiruvananthapuram. Based on the investigation of the complaint filed by the girl’s father it was learned that the child is with the accused in Thiruvananthapuram.
Later with the help of cyber cell, both of them were arrested after an investigation focused on mobile phone location. It was evident that the girl was sexually assaulted after the medical examination.
