Jalandhar: BSF recovered weapons from the Ferozepur region, which borders Pakistan. The weapons were hidden in the bushes and found during regular patrolling. The soldiers found a bag full of AK-47 rifles, six magazines full of bullets and two pistols.
The initial conclusion was that it was hidden by a group that smuggles weapons across the border. It is not yet confirmed by the BSF, whether this was an attempt of infiltration by terrorists.
Earlier this month, the Punjab Police recovered four foreign-made pistols during a raid in the same area. Four people were arrested in connection with this. The raid took place in Lopokee, Manja and Kakkaad villages.
