On the last day, the Thiruvalla first class Magistrate court has issued an order to file a case against KT Jaleel MLA over his reference to Azad Kashmir. The case was taken ahead following a complaint filed by Arun Mohan, RSS Sabarigiri District Prachar Pramukh.
Arun had filed a complaint against Jaleel soon after he published the Facebook post but the police had not taken any action against that. This made him approach the court. In that complaint, he requested the court to charge a case against Jaleel. Considering this, the Judge Reshma Sasidharan ordered to file a case against Jaleel.
Earlier, the same court issued an order to file a case against the former minister Saji Cheriyan, over his comment against the Indian Constitution.
Arun filed the complaint on Saturday.
Jaleel expressed his controversial reference on his Facebook post on Jammu Kashmir visit. He called Pak occupied Kashmir (PoK) as Azad Kashmir and also called Jammu Kashmir as Indian occupied Kashmir.
Police informed that the further developments on the case will be taken after collecting statements from Jaleel.
