Srinagar: A high level meeting will be held today to review the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting is being held under the leadership of Union Minister Amit Shah. Home Minister A K Bhalla, Jammu Kashmir Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha, and senior civil police officers of the Union Territory will participate in the meeting. The meeting will be held in Delhi.
It is learned that the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir, a review of development activities and disputes over involvement of outside voters are likely to be discussed in the meeting. This is the first high-level meeting in Jammu and Kashmir under the chairmanship of Amit Shah after the Amarnath visit.
Prior to the start of the visit, meetings were held under Amit Shah’s leadership regarding security arrangements for the pilgrimage, development activities and terrorist target killings. Currently, the security issues in the area are under control, according to reports.
