New Delhi: Congress party is facing a big jolt even after the resignation of former Union Minister and veteran leader Ghulam Nabi Azad. Following Ghulam Nabi’s resignation earlier in the morning, five Congress leaders from Jammu and Kashmir too have quit the party.
Former minister and former PCC Vice President G M Sasoori, ex MLA and J and K PCC Vice President Haji Abdul Rashid, former MLA Mohammed Amin Bhatt, Congress Ananthnag district president Gulzar Wani and former MLA Mohd Akram are those who have tendered resignation letter , in solidarity with Ghulam Nabi Azad.
Ghulam Nabi Azad alleged Rahul Gandhi for destroying the consultative mechanism of the party. He quit from all posts of the party including primary leadership. He mentioned that all decisions made by Rahul were wrong and those decisions have drooped the party to a point of “no return”.
It is hinted that Ghulam Nabi Azad will form a new party soon including the five leaders who have quit Congress party in solidarity with him.
