NewDelhi: 16 people, including 3 Indians, who were missing from the Malaysian sea have been rescued. The rescue operation was coordinated by the Indian Coast Guard. They were rescued by the Coast Guard in collaboration with the Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre.
On Thursday evening, MRCC Mumbai received information that three Indians were missing from the tanker MT Vora. MRCC then started rescue operations with SAR coordinating agencies in Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia. Officials informed that the rescued Indians have been released to Malaysia for further action.
” Through constant efforts, the missing persons were found yesterday. During the journey, the tanker they were traveling ran out of fuel. Officials rescued 16 people, including 3 Indians” the Coast Guard said in a statement.
