NewDelhi: Indian Army to increase defense force on Ladakh border against China. The Army has decided to acquire more light weight tanks and swarm drones to counter China. As a part of this, the army has also formed a new project called Swaraavar.
The acquisition of more tanks and drones is aimed at strengthening security in the northern region of the India-China border. Deploying current heavy tanks and conducting surveillance using drones is limited in steep mountainous areas. It is in this situation that the army has decided to buy more light weight drones and swarm drones. The army will buy around 350 indigenously manufactured tanks and drones.
For the past 27 months, there has been a conflict situation on the Ladakh border with China. In this situation, it was decided to develop a new project called Project Sarovar.
